Dyslexia is considered a learning disability. Those with dyslexia interpret words and letters differently from the “normal reader”. Dyslexia does not influence a person’s intelligence or vision. There is not necessarily a cure for this condition, but tutoring and practice are considered very helpful. Those who go to tutoring are essentially able to train their brains to recognize letter patterns and words in a pattern that makes sense for their mind. While those with dyslexia may struggle with reading, they often have very strong social skills, are great with memorization or mathematics, and prove to be excellent problem solvers. People with dyslexia are usually very smart.
